Through Youtube and its social channels, Nintendo announced the arrival of new additional content for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the awaited new chapter of Link's adventures which will debut from next March 3rd on Nintendo Switch and Wii U.

February 14 2017 - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for consoles Nintendo Switch e Wii U is one of the largest and most exciting video games ever created by Nintendo. While the main game offers players a thrilling adventure that will keep them entertained for hours, as well as the freedom to explore the vastness of Hyrule at their own pace, the game world offers the opportunity to experience many more adventures. As such, the first downloadable content for the main series of The Legend of Zelda is currently in development.
From the launch of the game on March 3, players will be able to purchase an Expansion Pass for € 19,99, which will allow them to access two types of downloadable content for the game as soon as these are available in the course of 2017. pre-purchase or purchase of the Expansion Pass, three new chests will appear in the game's Plateau of Origins area. One of these chests will contain a shirt with the Nintendo Switch logo that Link can wear during his adventures, exclusive to the Expansion Pass. The other two will contain useful items. The launch of the first DLC pack is scheduled for this summer and will include the addition of the Cave of Trials challenge, a new mode for experienced players, and a new map feature for the game. The second downloadable package will instead be launched during the Christmas period and will add new challenges that will allow players to have fun with a new dungeon and a new original story. The Expansion Pass will be available for both the Nintendo Switch and Wii U versions of the game, and will grant access to the same content. DLC packs cannot be purchased individually.
“The world of Hyrule we created for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is so expansive and animated that we wanted to offer an even greater experience for players,” said Eiji Aonuma, Nintendo developer, longtime producer of the series. "With this new Expansion Pass, we hope that fans will play, explore and enjoy the game more and more."
