Suunto 7 has just been announced in Las Vegas where the CES 2020 is underway. The new generation of smartwatches from the Finnish company combines the versatility of sports functions with the features of Wear OS, the Google operating system. The beating heart of the watch is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 3100 platform designed to work flawlessly with the Mountain View OS.

Made of stainless steel with a reinforced polyamide case, the smartwatch features a AMOLED display from 1,97 inch with 454 x 454 pixel resolution. Suunto 7 is equipped with new color outdoor maps available in offline mode, which allow athletes to always follow their position during training. The soul remains deeply sporty with over 70 sport modes including disciplines such as running, cycling, skiing and yoga.

The device is water resistant up to 50 meters deep. There is also the possibility to follow your workouts and performances through the proprietary app. Full support for third-party apps like Strava and Google Fit as well. All the functions expected from a sports smartwatch such as heart rate monitoring or altitude data detection are present.

The collaboration with Big-G materializes in the possibility of using Google Assistant and Google Pay for mobile payments thanks to the presence of the NFC chip. In front of autonomy, the company ensures up to 12 hours with active GPS and up to 48 hours with standard use. The available satellite navigation services are: GPS, Glonass, QZSS, BeiDou and Galileo.

Suunto 7 is already available for pre-order on the official website of the manufacturer in different colors for 479 euros with shipments starting from January 31st.
