
This article teaches you how to mount an ISO image without first burning it to a disc by “mounting” it on your computer's CD drive. You can mount an ISO on both Windows and Mac computers.
How to mount an ISO image on Windows
Click on the Windows logo in the lower left corner of the screen.
Open File Explorer click the folder icon at the bottom left of the Start window.
Find the ISO by clicking on the folder where your ISO image is stored (e.g. Downloads) on the left side of File Explorer, then open any additional folders in the main window until you get to the ISO file.
Select the ISO click the ISO file to select it.
Click on the Manage tab you will find this option in the upper left part of the window. A toolbar will appear below it.
Click Mount is in the “Manage” section of the toolbar. This will mount the ISO file on your computer's CD drive.
Click This PC This folder is located on the left side of File Explorer, although you may need to scroll up or down on the left column to see it.
Open your mounted ISO image double click the ISO name under the “Devices and Drives” heading in This PC. It will look like a CD on a disc. The contents of your ISO will magically open.

How to mount an ISO image on MAC
Open Finder by clicking on the blue face-like app on your Mac's dock.
Find the ISO, click on the folder where your ISO is stored (for example, Downloads) on the left side of the Finder, then open any additional folders in the main window until you get to the ISO file.
Double click on the ISO this will immediately mount your ISO image on your Mac.
Click on the ISO image name in the left column of the Finder, you should see the ISO name displayed under the “Devices” heading; click here to open the ISO.
You can also double-click the ISO icon that appears on your Mac's desktop after mounting the file.
