The new Vivo X60 Pro + 5G was officially released in China, this is the top-of-the-range smartphone of the Chinese company for 2021. The device will be able to count on a lot of power, thanks to the implementation of the SoC Snapdragon 888 from Qualcomm, and a great camera, thanks to the use of four rear cameras, with the implementation of a main sensor made by Samsung.
The 6,56-inch display (with resolution 2376 x 1080 pixels) supports HDR10 +, is curved and has a central hole that houses the front camera. The panel has a 120Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate that reaches 240Hz. Instead, information about the protection adopted by the screen is missing.
The back of the phone consists of two superimposed sheets of glass and metal in the Phantom Blue color while the other color, Classic Orange, is characterized by the presence of a rear shell covered in skin. At the rear we find a sort of rectangular island created to house the four cameras, which at first glance seem rather protruding.
The overall design of the smartphone makes you immediately turn your gaze to the high-end of the market, a sensation confirmed by what is implemented under the body, starting precisely from the use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor coupled with 8GB and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The 12GB version adds an extra feature, called Memory Fusion Technology, which would allow the device to free 3GB of RAM thanks to software optimization while maintaining the same amount of actual RAM and maximizing performance.
The phone is available in two versions, with 128 and 256 GB of internal UFS 3.1 memory. The Vivo X60 Pro + 5G also has dual-SIM support, a fingerprint scanner implemented under the display for unlocking, in addition to face recognition, NFC and Bluetooth 5.2. The operating system is Android 11 with proprietary user interface customization, OriginOS 1.0. The battery is 4200mAh with support for super fast charging at 55W.
As anticipated, the smartphone focuses a lot on photographic quality by collaborating with Zeiss for the production of the lenses. The X60 Pro + 5G features a Zeiss T * nanocrystalline coating, a very important addition to ensure consistently high quality of the images taken by the phone. There main camera consists of a 1 megapixel Samsung GN50 sensor with aperture f / 1.57.
The second room was made by Sony and houses an IMX598 sensor combined with an ultrawide sensor with gimbal to further improve stabilization. To complete the picture we find an 8MP periscope sensor with excellent 5x zoom and 60x digital zoom together with a sensor for 32MP portrait mode.
Vivo claims that all four rear cameras support automatic autofocus and stabilization in videos, which can be recorded up to 8K or in slow-motion up to 1080p. The Vivo X60 Pro Plus debuts on the Chinese market at a price of 4.998 yuan (636 euros) for the 8 / 128GB version and 5998 yuan (764 euros) for the 12/256 GB version. Sales will officially start on January 23rd.
We do not yet know if and when this smartphone will also arrive on the market but considering that the Vivo brand has officially landed also in our country, it may not take long.
