Oppo has officially launched its new smartphone, the A53 5G, in China. This is a revised version, with minor minor adjustments compared to the 4G version, which also arrived in mid-October.
On the back, The Oppo A53 5G features a triple rear camera setup. The configuration consists of a 16 megapixel f / 2.2 main sensor, a 2 megapixel f / 2.4 macro sensor and a 2 megapixel depth sensor. On the front we find an 8 megapixel selfie camera instead.
Turning to the hardware platform, we find the implementation of a MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor paired with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM. Internal storage is 128GB. The phone does not have a slot for the microSD slot and consequently it will not be possible to expand the internal memory.
The new smartphone of the Chinese company is equipped with a 6,5-inch Full-HD + display, with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. To underline the presence of the refresh rate at 90 Hz.
Strangely, battery capacity is a step back from other A53 models, coming in at just 4.040mAh, compared to 5.000mAh. Do not miss the 3,5 mm headphone jack, a fingerprint sensor placed on the side and incorporated in the power button and dual-SIM support. On board the OPPO smartphone we find Android 10 customized with ColorOS 7.2. The weight is equal to 175 grams.
The price is 1.299 CNY (about 162 euros at the exchange rate). We do not know if the smartphone will ever leave Chinese borders but if so, we expect higher figures. We will keep you updated in case of news.
