The evidence is becoming more and more concrete and even today we bring you a document that sees the Pixel 5 (probably Pixel 5 XL too) adopt a SoC Snapdragon 765G.

There are only a few months left until the presentation and it goes without saying that the information leaks are increasing more and more and with them the percentage of certainty.

All previous Google Pixels have always been marketed with a top-of-the-range SoC. So what happens now? Why this choice?

First of all, it is not necessarily a sentence. All smartphones that adopt the Snapdragon 765G they are very valid devices, OnePlus Nord and Motorola Edge among others.

Qualcomm's chipset was presented around December 2019 and was already projected to the future with a modem 5G which supports standards mmWave. In support of this there is also to report the fact that the batteries that power the Snapdragon 765G are very long-lived, and it is a very positive thing for the serious. pixel which has never excelled for autonomy.

And of course then there is the price. As we have already reported the next Snapdragon 875 it will cost a lot and some producers, to get back into it, would have to raise their list prices even more. It is not a good thing because in recent years in which the prices of the Tops have risen more and more (even Xiaomi with Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro) it is really too much to ask for even more from end customers.

In short, the only fear that a Snapdragon 765G can do in 2020 is only the technical sheet side with benchmarks in hand. It has little to envy to the Snnapdragon 865.

Obviously we are not justifying Google for the choice but, it will almost be able to justify itself, if it will present its Pixel 5 with lower prices at the launch than we expect.

Pixel 3a is a great Pure Google smartphone with accurate and day one updates. You can find it here .
