Long awaited by many players, finally the next gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be available in about a week. This is an excellent excuse to return to playing the adventures of Geralt of Rivia with a decidedly more advanced and much better technical sector than the original. However, all the improvements are not only the result of CD Projekt RED, but also of the modders.
As specified by the development team (which was also assisted by Saber Interactive for the production of this upgrade), the next gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will also make use of some extremely popular mods. “We have included several user creations, available according to their presence on the platforms”, le parole di Karolina 'Vinthir' Niewęgłowska, Techinical Support Manager di CD Projekt RED.
Clearly the development team didn't borrow the mods without saying anything: it would be a clear offense against whoever created them. The production house has contacted the various creators, asking their permission to use them in these new versions and has also offered a payment, as well as the mention in the game's credits. All in a workmanlike manner, in short, as it should be: over the years the work of modders has given a lot to CD Projekt RED games and it is right that obviously the most useful are rewarded, even when it comes to official products.
The next gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be available starting December 14, 2022 on PS5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PC. And in the meantime, many are wondering what happened to the DLCs of the Nintendo Switch version, promised and never delivered to the players, as we reported to this address.
