Given the positive effects that are occurring following an incisive vaccination of the population, the time has come to understand what, for example, the future of work in a world could be. post-pandemic. After overcoming the biggest challenges, therefore, the time has finally come to turn our attention to the future of work in a post-coronavirus world.

The rapid emergence of the Covid-19, it gave us very little time to adjust to what few of us thought would be a profound change in the future of work.

Companies have therefore rushed to implement resolutions for the digital workplace and they quickly adopted new tools and habits. After the first extremely intense weeks, most of them have found a new "normal", appreciating the progress and learning from their failures.

Many of the changes made since the Covid-19 are, generally, seen as a difficult task, with flexibility and automation being the main trends in the future of work.

What can the the companies to prepare to be successful in this new environment? The solution is to adapt to a constantly evolving digital workplace, defining precise strategies for each phase of the reopening process and for what we can call the world after.

Yesterday as today, covid-19 led to an organizational overhaul, in the literal sense. Reflecting on the weeks and months that have heavily afflicted the whole world, we see, precisely following this epidemic of coronavirus, universal phenomena that are occurring in all sectors and on all continents. Examining these trends helps us understand the organizational challenges facing new digital workplaces.

As the trading online demo clearly illustrates the future of investments, the coronavirus has highlighted flaws and flaws in every sector. If before the onset of the coronavirus, the global trend towards the telework was already very strong, now there is a strong acceleration of the process, ushering in what some call the beginning of the end of the offices.

All those who were not familiar with remote working, therefore, had to learn new uses and skills to evolve outside the office. Most of the time they have succeeded, and this success has been noticed. Not surprisingly, major companies such as Facebook and Microsoft have understood the benefits and have decided to continue working remotely for the long term.

Paradoxically, teleworking has highlighted the need to improve communication within companies. Both for the centralized communication of crises and for the collaboration within the teams, it was, in fact, the interpersonal relationships that guaranteed corporate cohesion throughout the pandemic.

This sort of virtual closeness has become possible thanks to tools such as videoconferencing, instant messaging and digital workplaces which, in essence, have promoted collaboration and internal communication. Consequently, on the horizon, the future of information technology in post-coronavirus working life also reveals new behaviors and ways of working.

In some ways, those days when you arrive at the office at 8:30 am, have a short lunch break around 13:00 pm and then leave the office at 18:00 pm seem destined to end. Telework has led to more flexible working hours, with employees able to choose the hours during which they are most efficient.

The meeting was then also supplanted, not only by videoconferencing, but also by more appropriate tools such as instant messaging, which reduces the amount of meetings needed, thus saving time and improving productivity.

As society has adapted to the new reality of a post-pandemic world rapidly, companies have yet to seriously start thinking about what form their entire organization will take.

It is more important than ever to have digital tools, which could be a determining factor in determining which companies will thrive after covid-19 and which ones will lag behind. In conclusion, it is not enough to use them, but they must be used effectively.
