Overwatch 2 has been out for a few weeks and has already caused a lot of discussion. The transition to the free model, in fact, in addition to bringing all the fans of the series back to the servers, has dragged an impressive number of new players with it. However, many of them have been stuck by some pretty severe restrictions that Battle.net has placed on the game, as well as other titles like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (which you can find on Amazon). But the controversy does not subside because some players are furious for other reasons.
According to vault_guy's Reddit account, an Overwatch 2 enthusiast, switching to the free model for this new game would be just an excuse to siphon money through side streets. Using as an example a pendant inserted in one of the packages, in fact, the user underlined how the care taken by Blizzard in the creation of the cosmetic items leaves something to be desired to say the least.
The item in question is a bag tied to a rope which, as can be seen from the photo of its thumbnail, has an evident graphic glitch. The body of the object, in fact, is not connected to the rope which hangs on the outside of its handle, effectively leaving the bag dangling in the void. The accusation made by the player is linked to the fact that Blizzard would be focusing on the sale of these packages but without committing too much to making the objects inside them.
Indeed, if we think that this item is sold in a pack worth 15 dollars, we don't feel like blaming the player. It is also true, however, that this is a simple oversight that can be corrected and that does not lead to major gameplay issues. In any case, among the comments on the photo, many other Overwatch 2 fans express solidarity with the player, underlining how this malaise is starting to spread in the community.
