Netflix increasingly devoted to gaming! 55 games in development

With the extreme popularity that the videogame medium has now achieved, there are more and more large companies in the world of entertainment who are trying to enter this world and produce their own games. Among these giants there is also Netflix, with the video streaming giant that has been pushing a lot for some time now also in offering different videogame experiences to its subscribers. These titles are given away in the various subscriptions, and apparently more and more will come in the future.

According to what emerged in the last meeting with its investors, Netflix has declared that it currently has the beauty of 55 games in development. Adding to this important statement comes more details, with the company declaring that some of them rely on its own IPs, with the giant trying to generate attention on multiple multimedia fronts.

An example cited by Netflix is the recent one synergy that has arisen between the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and the video game Cyberpunk 2077, with the anime made by Studio Trigger which also brought viewers into contact with the Cyberpunk game and the other titles developed by CD Projekt Red. This also leads to the acquisition and creation of new studios, and one of these will be led by Chacko Sonny, a developer who worked on Overwatch and God of War (you can buy it on Amazon), but Netflix also recently bought Night School Studio, authors of the two Oxenfree and Afterparty.

In all of this, the company born with video streaming has also said that it is very seriously considering the creation of a new cloud gaming service, something along the lines of Amazon Luna and the now defunct Google Stadia. In short, it seems that Netflix also has big plans to expand more and more in the gaming world, and we will see some good ones.
