Check if the Contacts have really been deleted

Before trying to restore phone contacts, make sure they have been deleted. This is because Android phones allow you to customize the contacts to be displayed on your phone. You may have accidentally hidden your contacts.

    • To check this, open the default Contacts app on your phone. Tap the three-dot icon at the top (or tap the three-bar icon on the left side) and select Settings. Go to the “Contacts to view” option. Select All contacts.

I steps may vary depending on the Contacts app. You need to look for the Contacts to View setting. If the numbers in the address book have really been deleted, let's see how to recover the phone numbers deleted by Google.

For this, you'll need to use a native feature in Google Contacts known as Undo Changes. As the name suggests, it will undo all changes made to contacts.

When you use it, you will be asked to select the period from which you want to undo the changes. You can select from 10 minutes to 30 days. Now all changes made to the contact list since the selected date will be cleared. That is, if the contacts have been deleted, they will go back to where they were again. But it also means that if you have added a new contact in that period, it will be deleted. So, be careful and backup your existing contacts before doing this.
