Often you will want to change the background color of an image if the original one isn't that impressive. Mostly, you need to change the color to white. While we have made advances in technology, some basic things like this continue to bother many of us. Of course, tools like GIMP and Photoshop are the TOP, but not all of them are professionals.

That's where photo editing apps and websites come into the picture. Thanks to them, you can easily change the background color of an image. The process involves two steps: making the background transparent and adding a background color to the transparent image. Without waiting any longer, let's see how to replace the background of an image with white color using an online editor. We have three different websites here for you.

If you have an image with a solid color background, it's easy to remove the color and make it white. All you need to do is use the Replace Color feature.

    For that, follow these steps:

Step 1: open the Luna Pic website and click the Upload button to add your image.

Step 2: do Click Choose File and navigate to the image whose background color you want to change to white or any other color.

Step 3: allow the file to be uploaded. Then click Adjust> Replace Color.

4 pass : Click the color box next to New Color and select white.

Step 5: do click the background color you want to replace or change.

You will see that the background will turn white. You can adjust the color threshold using the slider at the top.

LunaPic works best for images with a solid color background. However, if you have an image with a multicolored background, first you need to make the image transparent and then add a background color. While the tool easily allows you to make the image transparent by going to Edit> Transparent Background, it doesn't perform well with a multicolored background.

However, give it a try. If you can make the background transparent, click on the black or white color next to the Background Preview.

This website works well for images with multicolored backgrounds. It will automatically detect the background and make it transparent. Once you have the image with a transparent background, you can fill it with any color, be it white, black or blue as per the passport images.

    Here are the steps:

Step 1: open the Photo Scissors website and click the Upload Image button.

Step 2: As this is a background removal tool, you don't need to select any options. Then, the web service completes its task of removing the background.

Step 3: Once you have the correct image, click on the background option in the right sidebar and select Solid Color from the drop-down box.

Step 4: by default, the background color will turn white. This is what you needed. However, if you want another color, click on the color box present under Color in the right sidebar and choose the color you prefer.

Step 5: Once everything is done, click the Save button at the top to download the new image with a background color… white.

If the above two tools don't meet your needs, try the Background Burner website. Similar to Photo Scissors, it is designed to primarily remove the background with the added ability to change the background color.

Here are the steps to achieve the same result:

Step 1: open the Background Burner website and upload your image.

SUGGESTION: look for the animated dragon that removes the background while processing the image.

Step 2: You will be given a lot of results. Choose the one you think best suits your requests by clicking Select. If you feel the image needs some editing, click Retouch to change the selection.

3 pass : You will need to log in to download the image. Click the "Login to Download" button.

4 pass : Then, save the image as a JPG and you will have a white background.

Step 5: If you want to replace the background with a different image, click the Replace Background button present below the image in step 3. Then select the background of your choice from the options provided. You can also add a custom background.

SUGGESTION: To change the background to any color other than white, load it as an image using the Replace Background option.
