    The writings and logos on photos are usually used to prevent the reuse of images and photos without the permission of their respective owners. Sometimes they prove difficult to get rid of. If you find yourself in a situation where you should use a watermarked image, please note that you can remove this watermark using software such as Photo Stamp Remover, Inpaint and Photoshop.


    How to remove writings and logos from photos

    Remove writings and logos from photos using Adobe Photoshop

    Open Photoshop then open the image you want to remove the watermark from. Select the Localized Corrector tool. You will see it in the toolbar on the left side of the page. His icon is represented by a band on which a semicircle is dotted.



    Click the radio button next to Supported Content. You'll find it at the top of the page in the options bar. Put the brush on the photo. Then press on ":" and "! To increase and reduce the diameter of the shape as you wish.

    For example, if you're trying to get rid of a thin line, you may need to increase the brush diameter to get better results with better accuracy.


    Carefully apply the brush on the watermark. To do this, use the slider, which will remove part of the watermark. Continue painting the small sections of the watermark. Do this until all traces disappear.

    For large watermarks, you need to use the Lasso tool. Select Lasso on the toolbar. This option is represented by a cowboy lasso icon. Place your cursor on the edge of the watermark. Then trace the outline using the Lasso tool.


    Press SHIFT + F5 on your keyboard. This action will bring up the Fill menu. Select supported content. You will find this option in the drop-down menu. Then click OK. This action will cause Photoshop to fill in the missing watermark with content that blends into the surrounding area.

    Remove writings and logos from photos using WebInpaint

    Open WebInpaint. Then open the image you want to delete writings or logos. You can also use the online version of WebInpaint at http://www.webinpaint.com/. Click on the red indicator. It is located on the left side of the toolbar at the top of the window.

    It is represented by a red dot made by a pencil on a sheet of paper. Choose the size of the marker. To do this, click the down arrow next to the red dot in the toolbar at the top of the page. For example, if you want to get rid of a watermark or a thin line, you need to reduce the size of the marker to get better accuracy.


    Bypass the entire watermark with the cursor. Select the eraser from the toolbar. This action will cause Inpaint to process the image and completely remove the watermark from the photo.

    Use SoftOrbits Photo Stamp Remover

    Open Photo Stamp Remover and click Add File. Select the image you want to remove the watermark from. Click the rectangular selection tool. Drag it around the watermark to cut everything out. Click on Delete. Photo Stamp Remover will analyze your image and remove the watermark completely.


    Use other methods

    Remove the watermark from the image. Do this using your usual image processing software in case the watermark is at the top, bottom, side or corner of the photo. Cropping usually maintains image quality without having to remove the watermark using older software.


    Find a non-watermarked version of your photo on Google. If the image you are using is a famous photo or is part of an image bank, you will likely find its non-watermarked version on Google Images.


    Drag the image to the Google Images search bar at https://www.google.com. Next, look for a non-watermarked version of the image in the search results.

    Look for similar photos. You should also think about looking for similar watermark-free images on free photo sites like FreeImages and Flickr. These platforms provide thousands of free watermark-free images that you can use.
