Professions are not just for learning the strongest spells, they are have several improvements to our character's base stats, which will eventually specialize in some areas rather than others. The stats are quite intuitive and cover the main aspects of combat, such as Protego's Life, Power, and defense effectiveness.

However, each class has its flaws and merits. While the Professore is the most balanced class of all, the Auror for example they are more devoted to damage and to fight the Dark Arts, suffering from a malus against the Beasts.
