Destiny 2: Beyond the Light - Complete guide to stasis

Destiny 2: Beyond the Light - Complete guide to stasis

Destiny 2 received the introduction of stasis with the highly anticipated release of Beyond the Light. As we have also talked to you in our review, this new type of damage is decidedly different from the three already present both in the unlocking mode and in its modification and enhancements. Indeed, we will not be able to freely access the new subclass until we have completed the main campaign of the expansion, which however will not take a lot of time, taking you just a handful of hours. However, it is by no means wasted time as you will still be able to try it on multiple occasions to get a first smattering of skills, grenades and dodging.

After defeating the final boss, go talk to theUnknown in 'Over su Europe and she will give you a new quest, which is called Dark Birth. This feat will reward you with Nature e Fragments, all of which are necessary to take your stasis subclass to another level and will also offer a good deal of variety to the classic skills. Now go talk to Zavala e Variks, as interaction with them will then unlock a second quest called The reconquest of Europe. This narrative strand is essential for stasis enhancement as it will allow you to get your hands on Hold of Salvation, an exotic grenade launcher needed to complete certain tasks.

Destiny 2: Beyond the Light - Complete guide to stasisDestiny 2: Dark Birth Quest Guide - Part 1

Phase 1

The first part of the undertaking is very simple, as it will only require defeat 50 fallen on the surface of Europa and kill enemies with the melee abilities of stasis. You will find many of these opponents in the northernmost area of the map, in the Ruins of Vespers, and you can also take part in public events to speed up the whole process.

Phase 2

After completing this first step of the quest, you will be prompted to complete three Assaults with the stasis subclass equipped and also defeat 60 fighters suffering from stasis. This process was not immediately clear to us as we found ourselves defeating many opponents with freezing without getting achievement points: apparently, it is important to fire on enemies affected by stasis, whether it was yourself or an ally. to freeze them.

Phase 3

Now you will have to look for ed eliminate a platoon of Fallen, just like you did during the campaign, only to defeat Captain Weniks. You will find it in Eternity, or the huge complex in theExoscienza Bray, on the left on the map with respect to the Cadmo Promontory. It will also be marked on the map, so you will have no problem finding it

Stages 4 and 5

The penultimate step to complete this first part of the quest will ask you to go to the lost sector Bunker E15, found in the Ruins of Vespers, and complete it: once the boss is defeated, the Unknown will appear. After talking to her, go to Oltre, in the southernmost area of the map and interact with it again. By doing so you will receive the second part of the quest and another that is called Nature of Control.

Dark Birth Quest Guide - Part 2

Phase 1

The first stage of the venture will require the killing of 50 Vex across Europe to obtain energized radiolar fluid and 20 enemies with Stasis Shatter. You already know that you can find Vex at will in the Lost Sector you have already been in, Bunker E15, but there will also be some during some public events. To defeat enemies with shatter damage you must first freeze them with stasis and then destroy them in any other way.

Phase 2

You will now need to complete three playlist tasks with your stasis subclass e equipped kill as many as 60 fighters affected by stasis. Of course, we recommend that you take part in the classic Vanguard Strikes playlist, as it is the fastest way to complete the first task. However, if you prefer to play in the Crucible or Gambit, obviously there will be no problems, quite the contrary! In this phase of the quest, defeating the Guardians grants bonus points.

Phase 3

Once you have completed this phase as well, you will have to go back to Neo-Rice, in the northernmost area of Europe for defeat a new platoon of fallen. It will not be difficult to find them, as they will once again be marked on the map.

Phase 4

After killing the captain of the fallen you will have to go to the lost sector Perdition in Cadmo Promontory. Once you've cleared the sector, instead of getting off the platform after defeating the boss and collecting the loot, go to the left side of the room and talk to the Unknown.

Phase 5

Go back to the Oltre, in the southernmost area of the map and talk to her again: she will give you the first stasis enhancement, or the Twilight Grenade.

Phase 1

We are approaching the conclusion of the questline with some tasks that will give us a lot of action. In fact, this time we will have to take some actions concerning the elimination of enemies: we will be asked to kill 50 Vex, 50 fallen and 20 stasis enemies on Europa. Obviously we advise you to complete some lost sectors, as well as to also face public events to speed up the process. By the way, if you have the exotic grenade launcher Hold of Salvation you will enjoy an advantage, as its bullets instantly freeze opponents.

Phase 2

Now we are going for something different, as this phase of the enterprise will ask us to play 3 games of Gambit with our stasis subclass activated. Also you will have to eliminate 60 fighters with coup de grace with stasis. In short, it is not an easy task but after three plays in the Drifter mode you will surely make it. In addition, we still recommend using the Hold of Salvation, which will help speed up the task.

Phase 3

Now you will have to go back to Eternity, the deeper area of the Bray Exoscience, for eliminate Teraks' platoon, just as we had done in some previous stages. This activity will be marked on the map, so you will have no problem finding the exact location where the boss is.

Phase 4

Now go to the Hidden Void Lost Sector, towards the Abyss of Asterion, and complete it. After defeating the boss you will find the Unknown talking to a person you know well. At the end of the speech, the Exo will leave.

Phase 5

Open the navigator and go back to the Beyond: here the Unknown will reward you with the Icy grip grenade, which freezes any enemy on impact and also launches a second shot with a tracer and freezing effect.

Dark Birth Quest Guide - Part 4

Phase 1

Go to the Beyond and talk to the Unknown Exo. He will give you the first phase of the fourth part of Dark Birth, which will require you to defeat 50 fighters on Europa with stasis skills. Again, we recommend that you take part in public events or simply go on an advance in the Lost Sectors.

Phase 2

After doing this, you will be asked to complete three Nightfall assaults and eliminate 60 opponents with stasis. Nothing complex, of course, but it will certainly take a lot of time, since for now there are few Cala la Notte and you could always do the same event several times. As for the elimination of enemies with stasis, of course we recommend that you use the Grasp of Salvation.

Phase 3

The third party of the enterprise will require to eliminate a platoon of the House of Salvation, which is located in the Bray Exoscience area. Once again it will be marked on the map so you won't need to wander around too much. After taking out the boss you will get the usual key, so go further down into the depths of the structure. You will find Ana and the Unknown again talking, this time in front of an important piece of history.

Phase 4

After doing this, you will have to find all nine Entropic Shards, which are already part of the Aspect of Control Quest, which we already told you about at the end of the first part of the quest Dark Birth. Refer to the guide below, which will help you a lot in reaching every single fragment. Also, always keep that in mind you will necessarily also have to obtain the Hold of Salvation to shoot the fragments.

Phase 5

As a last step, you will have to return to the Eramis base in Neo-Riis and re-enter into communion with the darkness: now some waves of enemies will start that you will have to eliminate. After doing this, you will get the last quest reward.

Currently, the quest to unlock the stasis subclass abilities in Destiny 2 ends here, but we already know that Bungie is hard at work expanding this quest and giving us the opportunity to get many more moves. However, we can already begin to unlock the various natures of control. To do this, we will need to find five Entropic Shards scattered across Europe.Destiny 2: Beyond the Light - Complete guide to stasis

Where to find the Entropic Shards

Beyond the Light has introduced many new features to the Destiny 2 ecosystem, as well as obviously a respectable campaign. However, stasis is the real protagonist of the expansion, the most important revolution for the gameplay of Bungie's work. After unlocking it in the conclusion of the campaign, we will have access to a grenade and a melee attack, while all other skills will be unlocked. To have access to many other moves we will have to find nine fragments scattered throughout the map of Europe, but there will be only one problem: to unlock them you will have to hit them with a bullet from the Exotic Grasp of Salvation grenade launcher, so look for it before starting this quest!

Since there are so many, we advise you to consult ours guides to the exact location of all nine Entropic Fragments scattered around the map of Europe!

The correlation between Nature and Fragments of Destiny 2

To maximize the effects of stasis and even add new abilities we will also need to know in detail the relationship between the Natures and the Shards, which you have surely noticed in the subclass menu. The Natures offer bonuses and even additional attacks, as well as establishing how many slots for the Shards we will have each week, a detail that also varies by class (Titans, Warlocks and Hunters). For example, this week the Hunters may have 1 slot available while in the next they will have 3. The Shards, on the other hand, work very similarly but can offer bonuses to the characteristics of the Guardian with advantages - and disadvantages - in the form of perk. We talk about it in depth in ours guide how to get the Shards and Whispers, which we advise you to read.
