Gears Tactics is the highly successful turn-based strategy spin-off of the Gears of War saga, developed by The Coalition e Splash Damage, and published by Xbox Game Studios. Especially counting the side missions, and the Veteran mode in the endgame, Gears Tactics is a very long-lived game. For the more advanced missions it will therefore become essential to reach the maximum level, that is 10, and upgrading the Gears' weapons and armor. In this guide, we will see how to quickly level up, and how to unlock weapons and armor for our characters in Gears Tactics.

How to level up during the campaign

In Gears Tactics the XP points needed to level up are not awarded for completing missions, but based on the enemies killed. During the campaign we will therefore be able to take advantage of the Control missions, in which the enemies will continue to spawn as long as at least one refuel will remain to be taken.

In any of these missions it will be enough to take up to 9 supplies, continue to eliminate enemies while continuing to earn XP, and then take the last supply to complete it. 

How to reach the maximum level after completing the game - Gears Tactics: level up

After the completion of the game's campaign, our characters' level should be around six or seven. At this point the best way to quickly get to ten, the maximum level, is to complete the Veteran missions.

As the name implies, these missions are very difficult, and it could be important therefore rearrange skill points assigned to characters. Skill point resets are unlocked with the completion of campaign missions, and they are available in limited numbers, so choose well when and how to use them. 

How to unlock new weapons and armor - Gears Tactics: level up

Another very important aspect of the progression of the characters of Gears Tactics is certainly theirs equipment. The weapons and armor to be assigned to each character can be chosen from the Barracks, but obviously we must first unlock them with the breakage.

In many missions we will be able to find chests in the game map, divided by rarity by color. The white ones are common, the blue ones are rare, and the epic ones are purple. Upon completion of the mission we will be able to open the crates collected, and from the Barracks we will then be able to see the objects available for each class.
