Don't worry, we are not inviting you to commit a crime, you can do it from the comfortable sofa of your home in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Organized for today, April 11, 2020, the first Animal Crossing fishing tournament is finally here. By catching many fish you can get many different prizes, exclusive to this particular event and therefore not obtainable in any other way. The tournament will end tonight at 18pm, then hurry to catch as many fish as you can, dodging the Easter event eggs.

As we have already said at the beginning, the spring fishing tournament started this morning and will end tonight at 18pm. In order to participate, you must have already built the Town Hall, replacing it with Tom Nook's initial tent. Once this is done, Fuffi will notify you of the start of the tournament. To participate, all you have to do is talk to Castorino, who will have pitched a tent right in the center of your main square.

New game, new modes! - Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Spring Fishing Tournament Guide 

Unlike the previous titles, the competition will be structured in all small sessions of three minutes each, during which you will have to collect as many fish as possible. Whenever you catch a fish, it will magically teleport into Beaver's fridge, so you don't have to worry about stuffing your pockets. Once you have run out of time, you will have to go and talk to Castorino who will tell you how many points you have obtained. Simply, you will get one point for each fish caught and, if you catch more than three fish, you will get bonuses. 

The first game of the fishing tournament will be completely free, while the following ones will cost 500 stars each. With the points you get during the event, you can get them exclusive prizes limited only to the fishing tournament. You will not be able to get them in any other way, hurry up to remedy as many points as possible. Further information: the prizes will be distributed randomly, so you will not be able to choose one at a time.

If you want to get them all, then, get ready to catch a myriad of big and small fish, hoping for the goodness of Castorino and the God RNG. A curiosity: differently from what Nintendo initially announced, it seems it is still possible to catch eggs from the Easter event even during the fishing tournament. So get ready to throw some cursing here and there, just to keep a great party spirit!
