Wolfenstein: Youngblood is officially on the shelves. Announced at E3 2019, Arkane Studios' new shooter and MachineGames it will have not one, but 2 protagonists in the main campaign. If you buy the Deluxe Edition of the title you will have access to a system called Buddy Pass, which basically allows you to share your copy of the game with a friend, so as to cooperate. Let's start by saying that to make it all work, your friend will have to download the free trial of the game, present in the store. To share the experience with a partner, all you have to do is invite him from the main menu of the title, without any code, test or anything else: just like you would if your friend had a personal copy. 

The beauty of the Buddy Pass is the fact that your partner will have no timer, nothing at all, but will be able to assist you from the beginning of your campaign to the end. Furthermore, the experience cannot be shared only with one person, but you can log in as many friends as you want (as long as you let them in one at a time). 

Although the players who join thanks to this system will normally advance in the main campaign, they will not earn the trophies (objectives or whatever) dedicated to the latter, since they do not have the personal copy. To use the Buddy Pass, you and your friends will need to have a subscription (Xbox Live Gold, PlayStation Plus o Nintendo Switch Online) in case you play on console.
