As promised already in January, days ago the March 2021 update made its entrance on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, bringing with it several new features. Many of you will remember Super Mario's 35th anniversary announcement, which brought a variety of themed furniture into the game, but there's so much more! The beginning of spring still has several surprises to reserve for us.

Super Mario themed items

Perhaps the most anticipated feature of the entire update, the exclusive Super Mario themed furniture, walls and rugs are now available in the game! But how to get them? First of all, after updating the game from the HOME Menu, start it and look in your mailbox: Nintendo has sent you a very special gift!

The attached object is nothing more than a mushroom wall, with which you can start decorating your home while waiting for the other ordered decorations to arrive!

That's right, you order. All the celebratory objects of Nintendo's iconic plumber are in fact available at Point NookIn section Promotional Items. If you have already unlocked the app on the Nook Phone of the Nook Catalog, you can also access it from there.

Is there really everything from flagpole to block?, To clothes and accessorized mustaches! In addition, the Belle Case Academy now has a Mario-themed home theme available, meaning you can get tons of points if you decorate a Super Mario-themed room. Let's see the available objects in a little more detail.

How to use the tubes

They will also look very cute, but these Super Mario themed items aren't totally decorative. The pipes, in fact, can be placed on your island and used just like in the original series: place two of them wherever you like, making sure they have at least one space in each direction, and interact with them.

So you can teleport from one part of the island to the other without any effort! If more than two pipes are present and you interact with one of them, the game will randomly choose which of the remaining pipes to emerge from.

Furthermore, if you have a pipe inside the house and one on the island, you can easily use it to enter and leave the house in an alternative way. It is currently unknown whether there is actually a limit of placeable tubes on the island.

Day of the Greek Pi

The holidays did not end there: March 14 is the international day of the Greek Pi, the mathematical symbol corresponding to the value of 3,14. At the price of 314 stars we will be able to buy at Punto Nook, in the section “Seasonal items”, the Pi cake. Will it have a place in your homes?

Hinamatsuri

March 3 is a holiday in Japan. The Hinamatsuri, or "doll festival", is an ancient event that involves the display of dolls on special decorated "hinaningyo".

Well, Animal Crossing: New Horizons offers us two special furnishings to celebrate this day. The two objects are available at Punto Nook in the "Seasonal items" section on a daily rotation, so check every day to make sure you have the furniture you are interested in.

Clover day

Also known as “St. Patrick's Day ”or“ St. Patrick's Day ”, this famous Irish holiday features a shamrock as a symbol. Nintendo reminds us to dress in green and toast with some very good (questionable) clover juice. Also, to change your outfit with style, a new pattern is present in the game, the clover wand. It will only be available by popping the balloons from 10 to 17 March, so don't miss it!

The Sanrio cards are back

Remember the Amiibo cards created in collaboration with Sanrio, which allowed you to invite special inhabitants to Animal Crossing New Leaf and obtain exclusive furnishings?

Well, they're back on New Horizons too with this update! Nintendo in fact informs us that the suitable Amiibo cards will be put into production by March 26 and will include a set of six cards, each with an inhabitant who can be invited to the camping area.
