Changes in the Xiaomi house. Lin Bin, one of the co-founders and President of the mobile division, is relinquishing his role. Leave their position, but not the company. In fact, Bin will hold the role of Vice President of the Strategic Committee. Taking his place will be Adam Zeng Xuezhong, a manager with a respectable resume.
Xuezhong is indeed former CEO and Vice President of ZTE and current president of the Huixin Communication join venture, which includes 29 leading 5G companies. An extremely strategic profile for the activities of the next few years, when 5G will become a crucial and important technology for the development of the entire sector. His role in Xiaomi will be to take care of the development of the future smartphones of the Chinese brand.
The reason for this choice is not known. We do not know if it was a voluntary or forced choice, much less if there are tensions in the Xiaomi house. The latter hypothesis would be excluded considering how Lin Bin will still remain within the group, playing a new role.
The development of future smartphones will therefore be the work of Xuezhong. Who knows if the new president will let us see some great news right away and if he will continue to carry on the natural evolution of the Xiaomi project which until now has given the founders great satisfaction.
