The launch of the DLC Tides of Foscari introduced into vampire survivors new challenges for the players, maps, enemies (no, no vampires this time too) and obviously also gods new characters, equipped with unique weapons.
As usual, to use them you will first have to unlock them by satisfying particular requirements, some quite simple while others require a little patience and some suggestions. But don't worry, we'll give you a hand. Below we will explain how to get all new characters. Furthermore, if you also want to get your hands on all the tools of death, here's how to unlock all the Tides of Foscari weapons and their evolutions.

Eleanor Uziron
The first character we recommend you unlock is Eleanor Uziron, given that it will also be essential to obtain Maruto Cuts and Keitha Muort, which in turn are essential to have access to a new map and other Vampire Survivors warriors.
You can hire Eleanor by opening hers coffin in the "Lago Foscari" stage introduced in the DLC. The location of the chest is indicated with a question mark on the Milky Way Map (if you don't have it, you get it in the Dairy, one of the very first stages of the base game). Since this is a somewhat confusing stage (a river divides the map in two and it's easy to find yourself stuck in some labyrinths), we've highlighted the path to follow below:
Once you arrive at the indicated point, as per tradition, a series of enemies will appear and defend Eleanor's coffin in a circular formation. Force your way through and reach the chest to free Eleanor. Once done, all you have to do is unlock it by paying money in the character selection menu.
And if you're wondering, yes, the characters in Tides of Foscari can also be unlocked using cheats, which we will point out in this guide, although in our opinion it is much more fun to do it the old fashioned way, without cheating. In any case, for Eleaonor you just need to enter the codice "spellsomething" from the Vampire Survivors Secrets menu.
As for statistics, Eleanor starts the game with a small penalty to Health (-10), but on the other hand she can boast +20% Movement, +25% Growth and two extra Resorts. Unlike the other characters in Vampire Survivors she has well three weapons characteristics. He will start the game with the spell SpellString, at level 10 he unlocks SpellStream and at level 20 SpellStrike (both to be picked up from the ground). Finally, at level 30 Eleanor obtains the Academy Badge item, which increases the number of bullets and offers extra Resurrections in exchange for a penalty to the experience gained.
Maruto Cuts
Next on the list is Maruto Cuts. To unlock it you will have to fuse the SpellString, SpellStream and SpellStrike weapons together at lvl. 6 to bring SpellStrong to life. The quickest way to do this is to start a new game on any stage with Eleanor Uziron, go up to level 20 in order to obtain all three spells and then fuse them once they are fully upgraded by opening a chest.
Once you have obtained SpellStrong you can unlock Maruto in the character selection screen by paying money. Alternatively, you will get this character by entering the codice "animeismypassion" in the Secrets menu.
Maruto starts the game with a bonus of 20 points to Health, 1 point of extra Armor and +20% Power, counterbalanced by +10% Curse. He also gets a bonus to armor whenever he is wounded. His starting weapon is theSketching, a greatsword with which he executes a slash in front of him and, once brought to lv. 5, shockwaves in a large area that damage all nearby enemies. Additionally, Maruto at level 30 also unlocks the Academy Badge item.
Keith Moore
To unlock Keith Moore you will have to obtain the Legionnaire, which is the evolved version of the Eskizzibur, at least once. The quickest way to do this is to start a game on any stage with Maruto Cuts and get the Armor item. Level up both the Armor and the Eskizzibur to the maximum level and open a chest to obtain the Legionnaire.
Once this requirement is met you will be able to hire Keitha Muort from the character selection screen. Alternatively, just enter the "oopsistoleoneagain" makeup from the Secrets menu.
Keitha has a bonus to Movement of 40%, Speed of 20% and -10% to Reload, but starts the game with +10% to Curse. You also gain a percentage point of Luck with each level up. Her signature weapon is the Flash arrow. As the name suggests, it is an arrow, which is fired in a straight line in the direction in which the character is facing, piercing the enemies it hits and sometimes even inflicting critical damage. Furthermore, like Eleanor and Maruto, Keitha Muort also unlocks the Academy Badge at level 30.
Foscari lighting
To unlock Foscari lighting you will have to break the seal hidden inside the Abisso Foscari stage, the second map introduced with the Tides of Foscari DLC for Vampire Survivors.
But let's proceed step by step. To access the Foscari Abyss you will first have to break another one seal, in this case located within the Lago Foscari map. To do this, start a game on this stage using Keitha Muort and head towards the question mark highlighted on the map, passing through the maze to the northeast. If you have difficulty, refer to the route in the image below.
At the indicated point you will find a green crystal, which you can destroy only using the Millionaire, the evolution of Keitha's initial weapon, which is obtained by raising the Flash Arrow (this character's initial equipment), the Armguard and the Cloverleaf to the maximum level. Once done you will be automatically transferred to the Abisso Foscari stage, which you can now freely select from the main menu.
Now all you have to do is start a new game on this map using Maruto Cuts. To destroy the Foscari Abyss seal you will have to evolve his Eskizzibur into it Legionnaire. To do this it is necessary to raise both the weapon and the Armor item to the maximum level. Then head to the point indicated on the map with a question mark. Fortunately, it is a stage with a rather simple layout, so you won't have any particular difficulty finding your way around. Once you reach the red crystal, attack it with the Legionnaire to destroy it.
Once this requirement is met you will be able to hire Luminaire Foscari from the character selection screen. Or you can skip all the steps above and use the password "deusexmachina".
Luminaire Foscari is one of the strongest characters in the Tides of Foscari DLC, in our opinion. He starts the game with a 0,5 bonus to Recovery, +40% to Movement, as well as 7 Resurrections and 6 extra Exemptions. Not only that, with each level increase unleash a Rosary, the object that is normally found on the ground and that instantly clears away any enemy. Furthermore, every time he comes back to life he gets a 200% bonus to Power, -100% to Reload and +300% to movement, as well as a temporary invincibility status for 17 seconds, which increases by another two seconds after each Resurrection . Thanks to this last peculiarity, he is currently one of the best characters to take out the Reaper who appears at the end of the stages.
His starting weapon is the Prismatic Missile, which generates explosions around the character and obtains different bonus effects depending on the first Arcana obtained between II (the missiles explode again once they hit the ground), XIX (the missile explodes twice, with the second impact causing half damage) and the XIV (25% base chance to freeze an enemy).
Genevieve Gruyere
Also to unlock Genevieve Gruyere you will have to destroy a seal. This time it is blue in color and is located inside the Foscari Abyss.
You will have to use Eleanor Uziron and get it SpellStrom, combining its signature weapons SpellString, SpellStream and SpellStrike at level 6. Once done, head to the point indicated on the map with a question mark and destroy the crystal using this weapon. By doing so you will unlock Genevieve Gruyère and will also start the boss fight with Je-Ne-Viv (completely optional). This is a particular battle, as you will be stripped of all your weapons and will have to collect those you find on the ground during the battle.
Alternatively, as usual, you can unlock Genevieve Gruyère using cheats. Just enter "basicwitch" in the secrets menu.
Genevieve's starting stats boast +20% Movement, +50% Greed, +50% Magnet and 5 bonus Resorts. Every time she levels up, this character activates a Drain, which attracts all the experience gems scattered around the map. Additionally, once per life, when she takes fatal damage she activates the World Eater: for three seconds he becomes invincible and then kills all nearby enemies instantly, like when using the Rosary, generating hearts that restore his health points.
His starting weapon is the Servant of the Shadow, which spawns snakes that head towards random opponents and explode upon contact. Not only that, targets hit have a chance to be slowed forever, unless they are immune to this debuff.
I-Ne-Viv
Well yes, you can also recruit I-Ne-Viv, the secret boss of Foscari's Abyss. To do this you will have to kill 100.000 enemies in a single match using Genevieve Gruyére. Alternatively you can unlock it using the password "theworldeater".
This isn't a particularly complicated task, just start a game in "Endless" mode, therefore without time limits, but even a normal game with a 30:00 minute timer is enough. The important thing is to have excellent firepower, so weapons like the Phierages (the fusion of the Phierage guns of Tuphello and Otto the Sparrow) and/or the Infinite Corridor (the final evolution of the Clock Hand) will certainly come in handy . It is not necessary, but we find Arcana VIII - Crazy Rhythm useful in any case, which groups all the experience gems, objects on the ground (disposable weapons included) and chests around the character at two minute intervals.
Je-Ne-Viv starts the game with 150 extra health points, 5 armor points, +50% to Might, Greed and Magnet as well as 7 additional Resorts. Each time he levels up he also gains +1% to Power and +0,5% to Curse.
She is one of the strongest characters in Vampire Survivors' Tides of Foscari DLC, as her passive abilities are practically those of Eleanor and Genevieve combined. At levels 10, 20 and 30 he makes SpellString, SpellStream and SpellStrike appear on the ground, every time he levels up he activates a Drain, while once per life and every 6th level up he activates the World Eater.
In addition to the Shadow Servant, Je-Ne-Viv starts with theInsatiable secret weapon which creates purple areas with a skull in the center that damage opponents, based on the Greed stat. Furthermore, the area of effect is conditioned by Magnet and Area.
Sammy
To unlock Sammy, a cute caterpillar with a stupid face, you will have to exterminate 6.000 of his kind on the Lake Foscari map.
You can complete this objective in a game or two by reaching asecret area of the stage where an infinite number of these enemies appear, which is located east of the exit of the labyrinth located in the north-east of the map, refer to the image below to find it. Alternatively you can use the password "happybirthday".
Sammy starts with +2 Recovery, but a whopping -60% Power. However, he gains +10% Power at levels 2, 5, 8, 13 and 21, basically nullifying this penalty. It also increases the maximum duration of Gold Rush statuses. At level 30 this bonus automatically starts by changing the background music to that of "Happy Birthday". Not only that, every currency collected by Sammy also increases his experience.
Sammy's starting weapon is Hungry Executioner, the evolution of Gatti Amari, one of the weapons in the base game. However, when used by this character, practically every defeated enemy will always drop a coin on the ground, in short, it is perfect for making money.
Rottin'Ghoul
The eighth and final unlockable character in Vampire Survivors: Tides of Foscari e Rottin'Ghoul (applause to the Poncle team for choosing the names). You will unlock him by killing 6.000 of his kind on the Foscari Abyss map. Alternatively, his password is "souloftheparty".
Unlike the Sammies, these enemies appear often in this level, but it may still take more games to get to 6.000. There is however one specific area of this stage, a long vertical corridor, where large numbers of Rottin'Ghouls appear after the 5:00 mark, enough to complete the objective in one to two games.
To reach it, starting from the initial area, go south until you reach the two Crown objects on this map, then head west to the end of the horizontal corridor and continue in a north-west direction. Unfortunately, a map of the Foscari Abyss is not available online, so you will have to refer to the image below using the fixed spawn objects highlighted by the game.
Rottin'Ghoul starts the game with +20% Movement, plus he gains +1 Quantity every 20 levels, for a maximum of four times. His starting weapon is lo Confetti shooters, which generates projectiles with an arcing trajectory that can ricochet once if they hit an enemy.
