Pokémon Sword and Shield Guides - How to get Poipole and Cosmog

In the new Gamefreak DLC, the snow-covered lands of the Crown, several rare, if not legendary pokémon have been introduced. These are not simply Pokémon that can be captured using traditional methods, but will also ask the player to meet certain conditions or complete any subplots dedicated to them.

Today in particular we will go in search of Cosmog, the Nebula Pokémon and "embryonic" form of Solgaleo or Lunala, and of Poipole, the mysterious creature used by the ultra-patrol!

How to get Cosmog

The method of obtaining the Nebula Pokémon it is actually very simple.

The requirement to catch Cosmog is to complete the Legend 1 through the capture of Calyrex. Once this is done, head to the village of Freezedale, where there is a house next to an elderly lady and her Spheal.

Entering this house, you will find another lady who this time, however, will have the much coveted legendary. Interacting with us, he will tell you that he is looking for someone to entrust the Nebula Pokémon to, so you just have to accept his proposal to get it without problems.

Once you receive Cosmog you can train it to evolve it into Cosmoem to level 43 and then in Solgaleo (Pokémon Sword) or Lunala (Pokémon Shield) at level 53.

How to get Poipole

When it comes to catching Poipole, things get a little more complicated, but it's still nothing too complex. To begin with, you'll need to complete the entire main story of the DLC, then all and three legends.

Once this is done, in Peony's house you will find the Legend “?“, A legend dedicated to Ultra Beasts. Going into the Dynatana Max and delivering this Legend to Peony will trigger a short cinematic, through which Ultra Beasts will be unlocked in the Dynamax adventures.

Once this is done, just capture Necrozma and 5 Ultra Beasts in Dynamax Adventures to appear in Poipole in the Dynatana Max. Then interact with the scientist there who, finally, will entrust it to you.

Poipole is not only unique in the method of obtaining it, but also because it is the only ultracreature (if we do not consider Solgaleo and Lunala as such) with an evolutionary line, transforming itself into Naganadel as soon as he learns Dragopulsar and level up.

However, the Pokémon will not be able to learn the move by itself, so it will be necessary to teach it through the use of DT62 (obtainable through Dynamax Raids against Dragon-type Pokémon).
