Personality and physical characteristics

Sojiro is a middle-aged man, and at the beginning of Persona 5 he takes on the task of acting as tutor to the protagonist. Although he is not very polite at first and seems to treat Joker badly, as he progresses in the game he will form a deep friendship with him.

In the events leading up to Persona 5, Sojiro falls in love with Wakaba Isshiki, the mother of Futaba, but when the woman dies in mysterious circumstances she decides to adopt her daughter, who will lock herself up in a shell of resentment and guilt.

His specialty is curry, which was once improved by his beloved when he was still alive, and he runs a small niche café in Yongen-Jaya, the Cafe Leblanc, which despite having a small number of customers, manages to stand out from the crowd for its quality.

Sojiro is a very intelligent man and has worked as a government agent in the past. During the Persona 5 story he wears glasses, has a very high forehead and wears a goatee.

When he works at Leblanc he wears a uniform consisting of a pink shirt with rolled up sleeves and a striped apron, while in casual outfit he often wears a fedora and an elegant jacket.

In Persona 5 Strikers, Sojiro returns to welcome the Protagonist again in the attic of the Cafe Leblanc, and will provide the Phantom Thieves with a camper in order to be able to better explore the Prisons within the Metaverse.

While he's no longer a key character as he was on Persona 5 due to his Confidant (Hierophant), he remains in our hearts as one of the most charismatic supporting characters within the series.
