Genshin Impact: The best build for Kazuha, weapons, artifacts and teams

In this article we will give an overview of Kazuha, one of the best Anemo characters in Genshin Impact, with tips for making the best possible build.

Kaedehara kazuha he is one of the most popular 5-star characters in Genshin impact as well as one of the best ever among those of the Anemo element. In this guide we will give an overview of his skills and explain what we think he has better builds, with tips on weapons, artifacts, and stats.

Kazuha is currently one of the best "support" or "sub DPS" characters in Genshin Impact and is able to increase the offensive potential of the entire team mainly thanks to the "Emerald Huntress" set, which reduces the elemental resistances of enemies, and one of his passive skills that increases the team's elemental damage. Furthermore, he can quickly group enemies together and even individually is capable of dealing excellent damage with the right build.

Overview Talent Skills and Priorities

L'elemental ability by Kazuha, "Chihayaburu" is basically a powerful two-phase AoE (area of effect) attack. Initially the character leaps into the air, sucking nearby enemies towards him and dealing Anemo elemental AoE damage. Once in the air, the character can perform a dive attack, which deals elemental damage in a large area and creates a vortex that attracts enemies. This ability has two variations, depending on how long you hold the activation button. With a simple press, Kazuha's leap, range and overall damage will be lower, but on the other hand, so will the recharge time. By holding it down, the damage and range greatly increase, but the cooldown goes from 6 to 9 seconds.

This ability becomes even more deadly when the passive feat "Soumon Sword Technique". If in the first phase of the attack the Chihayaburu comes into contact with the Hydro, Pyro, Cryo or Electro element (for example when applied to enemies or burning grass), Kazuha absorbs this element dealing extra damage of the same type equal to 200% of his ATK when performing the dive attack.

Activating the Elemental Riot, "Kazuha's Slash", the character launches an AoE Anemo attack and creates an "Autumn Whirlwind", which deals damage at regular intervals for 8 seconds to all enemies within its range. If this elemental field comes into contact with Hydro, Pyro, Cryo or Electro, it will be absorbed causing additional damage of the same type for the duration of the ability.

Another fundamental aspect of Kazuha is the passive "Fuubutsu Poem", who after triggering a Turbinio reaction (Anemo + Hydro / Pyro / Cryo / Electro) gives the whole team a bonus to the element absorbed by the reaction equal to 0,04% of their Elemental Mastery which lasts 8 seconds. For example, with 700 points the increase will be 28%, so we are talking about a truly tasty bonus.

In general the Elemental Mastery it is the attribute that you will have to pump the most to increase Kazuha's overall damage, given that practically every attack creates Whirlwind reactions, which scale exclusively on this statistic and the character's level, ignoring instead ATK, Rate of / Damage from CRIT and skill level.

With regard to the Talent development priorities, we suggest you invest in the Elemental Excitement first, followed equally by the elemental ability and normal attacks to enhance the dive attack.

Best Artifacts for Kaedehara Kazuha

Emerald Huntress is by far the best artifact set for Kazuha

Of all the Genshin Impact Artifact sets, the best one for Kazuha is by far the "Emerald Huntress". The two-piece bonus increases Anemo damage by 15%, while the four-piece increases Swirl damage by 60% and also reduces opponents' resistance to the elements absorbed by this elemental reaction by as much as 40% for 10 seconds, a fundamental effect for maximizing the team's damage.

If you don't have this set we strongly advise you to farm it and in the meantime you can "patch" using four pieces of "Golden Dreams" (which increases Elemental Mastery), "Noblesse Oblige" (boosts the damage of Elemental Blast and increases the team's ATK by 20%) or "Emblem of Broken Fate" (increases Energy Recharge and the power of Elemental Blast proportionally to this attribute).

Considering what has been said so far, to maximize Kazuha's damage and the elemental bonus for the team you will have to pump up Elemental Mastery as much as possible, reaching at least 700 points. In the same way it is necessary to raise the Energy Recharge, so as to be able to use the Elemental Excitement at each rotation. Considering that it requires 60 energy points, we suggest you reach at least a value around 170 - 180%. The rest takes a back seat, although a few points of ATK%, CRIT Rate and CRIT Damage certainly won't do any harm. Having said that, for the main statistics of the artefacts we suggest:

  • Sands: Elemental Mastery or Energy Recharge
  • Chalice: Elemental Mastery
  • Crown: Elemental Mastery

Same goes for the secondary statistics. Look for a "feather" or "flower" with Elemental Mastery and pump Energy Recharge as much as possible. The rest is up to you.

Best weapons for Kaedehara Kazuha

The Iron Thorn is an excellent weapon for Kazuha and which you can forge at the blacksmith

As far as weapons are concerned, fortunately there is a wide choice of valid options for Kazuha. The most expensive one is the 5 star sword "Oath of Freedom", which has Elemental Mastery as a bonus stat and basically increases the character's damage by 10%. Not only that, every time the bearer triggers an elemental reaction (even when he is not on the field), he obtains a Seal, once accumulated two will be consumed to give the whole team a 12-second bonus that enhances the damage of standard attacks, charged and diving by 16% and ATK by 20%.

Among the four-star weapons, we recommend the "Xiphos Flare", which again offers a bonus Elemental Mastery stat. The peculiarity of this weapon is that it increases Energy Recharge by 0.036% for each point of Elemental Mastery the character possesses. Not only that, 30% of this bonus is also given to the rest of the team. For example, with 1.000 points of Elemental Mastery, Kazuha gets +36% Energy Recharge and the rest of the team gets +12%, which is really not a bad effect.

There is also a more accessible and really not bad option, namely the "Iron Thorn", which increases all elemental damage by 6% for 6s, a bonus that stacks twice. This is certainly a less interesting effect than the previously mentioned weapon, but the good news is that in this case we are talking about a free sword as it can be crafted by the blacksmith, which also means that it is relatively simple to improve it to the maximum, doubling the bonuses to elemental damage.

Finally we mention the "The Sword of Favonius", which offers a significant Energy Recharge bonus and generates particles by landing critical hits, thus meeting the character's energy needs. However, it means that you will also have to invest in the CRIT Rate stat, which as we have seen previously is not among the priorities of this character.

Best Teams for Kazuha

Considering Kazuha's peculiarities and the bonuses to elemental damage guaranteed by the Emerald Huntress set, you can use this character in a large number of different team types and always obtain excellent results. Below we offer you some examples based on various elemental reactions, although you are really spoiled for choice.
