If you are wondering how many there are Cyberpunk 2077 endings and how to unlock them you are in the right guide! After a campaign that will require several hours of gameplay and will lead you to make different choices, you will necessarily have to orient yourself towards one of the available epilogues. But how to choose the better ending and avoid the worst ending? Does it depend on the backgrounds you choose before starting? Or there is one set of precise choices to do? Let's find out!

CAUTION: Although I have tried to avoid spoilers as much as possible this is a guide to the endings and inevitably contains spoilers on the various epilogues of the game.

Cyberpunk 2077: all the endings of the game and how to unlock them

In Cyberpunk 2077 there are 4 +1 endings in total, and a kind of alternative final mission for those looking for an additional level of difficulty, linked to different trophies and objectives. Although they require precise choices to be unlocked the initial background will not affect them but only on some particular choice of dialogue and on the progress of some secondary missions. You can then play the adventure as you see fit and making the choices you deem most appropriate up to the mission called Nocturne Op55N1. You can consider this mission as a "point of no return" for the endings.

Fortunately to get the others you don't have to restart the game from the beginningindeed, you can choose the appropriate option once the credits are over and start from before the last mission to orient yourself towards a new ending.

HOW TO UNLOCK IT:

  1. During the mission "Nocturne Op55N1" go out on the balcony with Mysty and start a conversation with Johnny Silverhand
  2. In the dialogue you choose: "I could also silence all this"
  3. In the dialogue you choose: "[Throw the pills] I know exactly what we're going to do"

REWARD: None.

Cyberpunk 2077: the secret ending Don't fear the reaper

Cyberpunk 2077: guide to the endings + secret ending (all the choices to be made)

There is also a secret ending that you can get in Cyberpunk 2077. More than a real ending though it is an alternative final mission and dedicated to those who want to face the last phases of the game in a much more challenging way. Let's see how to unlock this alternative ending of Cyberpunk 2077:

  • WARNING: Make sure you have at least 40% relationship with Johnny Silverhand. To understand your level of relationship with the character just open the menu and check the percentage of the icon in the top center, the one with the Samurai symbol. If you have at least 40% you can continue in the next steps. To raise the relationship with Silverhand you just need to be in line with his thoughts and choices during the dialogues. But be careful not to be too condescending otherwise he will get angry because he will think that you are doing it on purpose. Furthermore, completing the Chippin 'In mission linked to the Breathtaking trophy will also help you a lot.
  • During the mission "Nocturne Op55N1" go out on the balcony with Mysty and start a conversation with Johnny Silverhand
  • In dialogue with Johnny, when he presents the options to continue, do NOT answer. Avoid any dialogue options for about 5 minutes. After that time Johnny will propose you something new similar to "a suicide race"
  • Choose that dialogue option and then the (Don't fear) the reaper option. In this way your final battle at the Arasaka tower will be carried out alone, without companions, increasing the level of difficulty especially against the final boss. If you die during the mission you will get the same ending that you get by choosing to commit suicide V. If you manage to finish the mission you will be able to access some of the other endings that you find in this guide, depending on the choices you make at the end of the mission. In practice, nothing changes at the narrative level, it only changes at the gameplay level.
