The DLC Tides of Foscari di vampire survivors introduced new tools of death to Poncle's roguelike with which to deal with vampires, if they ever deign to appear in the game. In the meantime you can use them to harvest ghouls, demons and so on and so forth.
In this guide we will explain how to unlock all the weapons and combinations to evolve them by Tides of Foscari. Clearly this article goes hand in hand with the one on how to get all the characters in this expansion.
SpellString, SpellStream, SpellStrike and their evolution SpellStrom
In Vampire Survivors: Tides of Foscari the Poncle team introduced a trio of spells marked as S-shaped icons with small differences. SpellString (no outline) creates a sort of magical strings that hit enemies in their path and is boosted by Haste; SpellStream (circular outline), which damages enemies around the player and scales on the Area stat; SpellStrike (square outline) which creates damage zones and is affected by Area.
To unlock these three spells for all Vampire Survivors characters you will first need to obtain the character Eleanor Foscari finding his coffin on the Lago Foscari map (the question mark on the map), which has these very weapons as its starting weapon. Once done you will have to meet the following requirements:
- SpellString: Survive with Eleanor for 15 minutes
- SpellStream: Raises SpellStream to level 6
- SpellStrike: Raises SpellStrike to level 6
The evolution of these three spells is SpellStrom, which fuses the powers of all three (but takes up only one weapon slot instead of three) and also at regular intervals creates singularities that deal tremendous damage to all enemies. To get SpellStrom in a game you will have to obtain all three of the aforementioned weapons and raise them to level 6, the maximum, and then open a chest on the ground.
Eskizzibur and the Legionnaire evolution
L'Esikizzibur it is the signature weapon of Maruto, another character introduced in the Tides of Foscari DLC. This is a greatsword that attacks in front of the character at regular intervals and also performs a counterattack when the character is hit. Not only that, starting from level 5 he occasionally performs a particularly powerful area attack.
To unlock this weapon you will first have to obtain this character, which simply requires you to create the evolved SpellStrom weapon, which we talked about in the previous paragraph, at least once. Once done to unlock the Eskizzibur for all characters you simply have to survive for 15 minutes with Maruto in any map and mode.
The evolution of the Eskizzibur is the Legionnaire. In addition to the characteristics of the previous weapon, it generates giant clones of the character that move in the direction of the character upon activation and deal damage to all enemies in their path. This weapon is obtained by fully upgrading the Eskizzibur and the Armor item.
Arrow Flash and the Millionaire evolution
La Flash arrow, as its name suggests, is an arrow that is shot at full speed in the direction in which the character is moving, piercing all enemies and with a small percentage chance of scoring a critical hit. Damage is boosted by the Quantity stat, which however does not increase the number of arrows fired.
The Flash Arrow is Keitha Muort's starting weapon and therefore you will have to unlock this character first. To do this, you will have to obtain the Legionnaire once, which we talked about in the previous paragraph. Afterwards that's enough for you survive 15 minutes with Keitha and you can use this weapon with all characters.
The Flash Arrow evolves into the Millionaire. This weapon, in addition to the characteristics of its initial form, generates a shower of arrows every time you collect gold or defeat an enemy with a standard arrow. To obtain it you will have to max out the Flash Arrow and the Armguard and Cloverleaf items.
Prismatic Missile and the Luminaire evolution
Il Prismatic Missile It is Luminaire Foscari's signature weapon. Generates rainbow missiles in a vertical direction based on the player's position which then explode. Gains different bonus effects depending on the first Arcana obtained between II (the missiles explode again once they hit the ground), XIX (the missile explodes twice, with the second impact causing half damage) and XIV (25% base chance to freeze an enemy).
To unlock the Prismatic Missile for all characters you will first need to obtain Luminaire Foscari. To do this you will have to break the seal in the Foscari Abyss using Maruto and his Legionnaire. Once done, that's it survive for 15 minutes with Luminaire Foscari in any map and mode to unlock the weapon.
The Prismatic Missile evolves in Lighting, the perfect weapon to gain experience and money. Generates rainbow beams that hit enemies vertically. In addition to obtaining the effects from the Arcana mentioned previously, each time the Luminaire hits, the amount of experience in the gems and the value of the coins on the ground increase based on the Quantity. To obtain the Luminaire you will have to fully upgrade the Prismatic Missile and the Crown item.
Servant of the Shadow and the Ophion evolution
Il Servant of the Shadow it is a weapon that generates snakes that head towards random opponents, exploding upon contact. Targets affected, in addition to taking damage, have a 50% chance of being slowed, unless they are immune to this debuff.
It is Genevieve Gruyére's initial weapon, which you will therefore have to unlock before you can use it with all the characters in the game. To do this you will have to destroy the blue seal in the Foscari Abyss using Eleanoir Uziron with the evolved SpellStrom weapon. Once done, use Genevieve and survive for 15 minutes in any game.
The Shadow Servant evolves into the Ophion. Summons spheres of dark energy that explode after a short time, damaging enemies and slowing them. Furthermore, the orbs have a very small chance to instantly kill an enemy regardless of damage dealt, which can increase based on the Luck parameter. To obtain the Ophion you will have to raise both the Servant of the Shadow and the Skullmanic item to the maximum level, which however means dramatically increasing the speed, health, quantity and frequency of the enemies. Do this at your own risk.
Confetti shooters
Lo Confetti shooters, as the name suggests, shoots confetti diagonally depending on the player's direction in an arcing trajectory. These colorful projectiles can ricochet off enemies and pierce them, and their power scales with all bonus stats.
To unlock this weapon you will first have to get Rottin'Ghoul, eliminating 6.000 of his peers in the Abisso Foscari stage. No other conditions are necessary: once you have obtained the previously mentioned character it will automatically be available to all the others.
The Confetti Shooter it does not evolve into any other weapons, however you can purchase it in each game at the Merchant each game for 1.000 coins.
Insatiable
L'Insatiable It's a special weapon. In fact, it is not cataloged among those in the game and cannot be unlocked in any world. This is a bonus death tool that can only be used by Je-Ne-Viv, a character and optional boss in Tides of Foscari, which is obtained by eliminating 100.000 enemies in a single match with Genevieve Gruyére.
This weapon creates a purple area around the character with a skull in the center that damages anyone it touches. Its power scales exclusively with Greed and Magnet and ignores Area, Speed, Duration and Quantity values.
