The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Guide to Poe and Bargainer Statues

Everything you need to know about the Poes and the Bargainer Statues to obtain the Miasma-resistant armor and the Dark Link set, in Tears of the Kingdom.

Heading underground into Hyrule, one of the first things that catches your eye in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are the Poes. These little luminous souls are a legacy of Ocarina of Time's legacy, from the time when so-called Poes could be bottled up and sold to a mysterious hooded subject.

Well, in this work the Poo are a common currency used by a series of sellers present inside and outside the underground, willing to put a series of unique rewards at your disposal, but above all to allow you to buy back some unique objects that you might lose or destroy during your travels. In this guide of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom we will discuss how the Poes work, the rewards, the position of the Bargainer Statues and the most interesting things that can be purchased from merchants.

At this address, however, you can find the well-known guide to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How Poes and Bargainer Statues work

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Guide to Poe and Bargainer Statues
The first witch statue at the guard fort

At Hyrule's Guard Keep there is the first sorcerous statue, which you can see in the image right above. At first, however, he will refuse to talk to you and will simply mention the Poes before going silent again. To be able to access the subsequent dialogues it is necessary to have some Poo in the inventory, and there is nothing simpler: just throw yourself into the chasms and collect the whitish flames that dot the region. There are three types of Poes: basic ones, large ones and huge ones, which correspond to a maximum of 20 Poes.

Once you return with the Poes, the sorcerous statue will reveal its function as a seller, opening an inventory that sells stacks of items found exclusively underground, as well as a series of unique rewards. The first you will notice is the Dark Tunic, or the armor of the Dark Link from Ocarina of Time. This, however, is only the beginning: every time you find another sorcerous statue underground, the seller's inventory will offer new tools: in addition to the entire Dark Link set, it will be possible to find the Armor of Darkness, a series of three pieces of equipment that considerably reduce the effects of miasma on Link. Furthermore, the items offered will increase until they reach the figure of 99 pieces for 16 Poes: with 16 ghosts you can take home 99 Bomb Flowers, for example.

The inventory of statues

The only way to expand the inventory is to find other sorcerous statues underground: you can choose to offer 100 Poo to the statue in the Guardia Fort to have the position of one of them revealed to you, otherwise you just need to understand how it works the positioning of these beings. Below, we have detailed the location of the other statues.

The location of the witch statues

The statues are all located underground

Notwithstanding that it is possible to pay 100 Poo to the statue of the Guardia Fort to have the position of his brothers revealed, below we have collected the location of all the statues we have identified. Furthermore, there is a very important thing to understand: the statues are always found in correspondence with certain points of interest present on the surface: for example, under the so-called sources (Source of Courage, Source of Wisdom, Source of Strength) there will always be a witchy statue. Others, however, are in particular places, for example directly under the forgotten temple of Hebra.

Here is the exact location of the witch statues:

Under the lands of Firone. We recommend saving this one for last, because the surrounding area has to do with the main mission. You have been warned!

After speaking to all these statues, thePoo-related inventory will be fully upgraded.

The ultimate witch statue

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Guide to Poe and Bargainer Statues

L'last statue it is located exactly below the Great Central Mine, and to talk to it you will have to pray at the head of the immense stone golem that rests beneath the surface. The location is marked below, but this statue does not function as a merchant, and will instead provide you with clues to where its essence is located: castle entrance, plateau, under water. To find the actual statue you will have to go to the Plateau of Origins, south of Hyrule Plain, the very place where Breath of the Wild began. In the image below you can see the exact location.

The location of the statue

Once there, use an explosive arrow to break the stones at the entrance to the Plateau of Origins, so that the water clears the passage and reveals the statue underneath, just as seen in the following screenshot:

The statue at this point will direct you to the ruins of the Temple of Time, right in the center of the Plateau of Origins. All you have to do is reach it and interact with the large Statue of the Goddess located in the main hall of the ruins. Once this is done, the entity will mark the position of four chasms in the region on your map: next to each of these chasms there is a stone eye, always next to the chasm. If you don't find it, it means that you have to interact with the scenario, lifting stones, melting blocks of ice, sending pieces of islands back into the sky and so on.

The gist is that you need to take each eye, throw it into its respective chasm, and then use the Zonau tools underground to bring each eye to the large statue resting beneath the central mine. This is a very simple operation, although a little long. Our advice is to place a nice teleportation point on the original plateau using the Pruna Tablet, and go from time to time to the nearest chasm. Below you can see the position in which to bring your eyes.

Once you have brought back all the eyes, you will be rewarded with two rewards: first the Statues will tell you their story, then they will ask you to choose between a container of hearts and one of vigor, and finally they will put the Tunic of Memories, a special version, on sale of the Champion's Tunic which can only be obtained in this way.
