Articuno, Zapdos e Moltres

The three legendary birds are among the most beloved of the saga and it is always a satisfaction to have them in the team, not to mention that they are very strong Pokémon. One of the first you can deal with is Zapdos. The electric monster is located in the Power Plant: the latter is located near Celestopolis. It is necessary to go east and, before reaching the cave that would take you to Lavandonia, passing a body of water with Scivolacqua.

Articuno, on the other hand, is located inside the cave of the Spumarine Islands, halfway between Fuchsia city and Cinnamon Island. Inside the cave you will have to move the boulders (with the attached Secret Technique) and stop the water currents that prevent you from passing. Finally, Moltres is hidden inside the Via Vittoria cave which takes you to the Blue Plateau and the Pokémon League. No Secret Techniques are required to achieve it.

Mew e Mewtwo

Mewtwo can only be captured after defeating the Pokémon League. The creature is located in the cave northwest of Celestopolis, reached by crossing the Pepita Bridge. Mewtwo also has two Mega Evolutions, whose stones can be recovered in the same place where you captured it: we talked about them here.

Mew, on the other hand, is not obtainable through capture. To make it yours, you must have a Poké Ball Plus: it is important to know that each Poké Ball Plus includes only one Mew; it is therefore not possible to share it with more people. The process, however, is simple: connect your Poké Ball Plus to the Nintendo Switch. Open the menu and go to the Communication section and select the Mysterious Gift icon. At this point you will see an option linked to the Poké Ball Plus. Press on it to get a level one Mew with random stats.

Meltan e Melmetal

Meltan is a new Pokémon introduced in the two chapters for the Nintendo Switch. To get it, however, you also need Pokémon Go for iOS or Android. To start, take any Pokémon caught in Pokémon Go from Kanto (or an Alola version of it) and send it to Let's Go !: if you don't know how, we'll explain it here.

Once the monster has reached its destination, you will get a new item on your smartphone called the Mysterious Box. Once every seven days, you can open the box to attract Meltan. The Pokémon will appear on your location for thirty minutes. Any Meltan captured can be sent to Nintendo Switch, but it is not possible to evolve it. You need to do this on Go, getting 400 Meltan candies. At that point you can also have Melmetal. In the Kanto Pokédex, the two creatures are classified as number 152 and 153.

How to catch Legendary Pokémon

In order to catch a Legendary Pokémon in these new versions, you must first defeat him in combat: the time limit to do this is five minutes. Once his life total is down to zero, you can throw your Poké Balls. Obviously, before interacting with the Pokémon, save the game. Mew, Meltan and Melmetal are excluded from this method: as we have seen before, they are not obtained through capture.
