Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy it is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated productions of these last months of 2021 and, as per tradition, it will feature a large amount of collectibles obtainable in-game. In fact, we are talking about 126 collectibles divided into: 45 costumes, 15 Guardian collectibles, 32 Galactic Compendium objects and 34 archives. Since many of these may however escape the less attentive players, we have decided to create a guide to show you the location of all the collectibles present in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy - for the costumes we have created a special guide, which can be viewed below -, all also relying on the videos made by PowerPyx, which we would like to thank.
Before starting, we remind you that in the guide there may be minor spoilers related to the events of the game, so we advise you to continue reading this guide to collectibles only after you have finished Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.
Guide to all collectibles featured in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
Chapter 1
archive: After leaving Peter's room, turn right and enter Rocket's room on your right to find the Archives.
archive: Immediately after reaching the quarantine zone (the planet flooded with pink goo), look to your left to find the Archive, located on a yellow chest.
archive: Follow Rocket on the path to the left - still on the planet invaded by the pink substance and, after crouching, turn left to find the Archive on the ground.
archive: After shooting the vermin and after Rocket starts the shooting challenge, move inside the ship and look to the right, on the ground. You will find the Archive before climbing over the small obstacle.
Collectible of the Guardians: From the place where you found the last collectible, go down to the next area and crouch under the containers, then shoot the "Fragile Material" (gray jelly), under which you will find the Collectible of the Guardians.
archive: After fighting the first group of enemies (the green ones), climb the only path available to find the Archive in front of some fragile material.
archive: After entering the eye socket of the robot, you will find yourself in an area with many targets that you can shoot as part of the shooting bet between Peter and Rocket. After destroying as many as possible, enter the cage upstairs; you will find the Archive in the center of the area, on the ground.
Collectible of the Guardians: shortly after finding the first workbench to improve weapons, you will descend into an area with some new types of enemies that will attack you. After defeating them, move to the only path available, then turn around and destroy the large gray gelatinous substance. Below it you will find the collectible.
archive: After reuniting with Drax and Gamora and using their abilities to place a pillar that you can climb on, you will enter a room where the three will discuss the appearance of a specific creature. Follow the steel pipes to the center of the room to find the Archives.
Chapter 2
Collectible of the Guardians: After reaching Nikki's secret hideout, you will find the Collectible on the ground, behind some crates placed near the monitors.
Object of the Galactic Compendium: Once in the elevator with Ko-Rel and Nikki, always side with Nikki, so that she entrusts you with her personal device to access the doors in this level. Choose the following dialogues; Wake up the elevator> Try to help Nikki> Take the blame. Obtaining this item will be very important, as it will allow you to get various collectibles in the seventh chapter.
Chapter 3
Object of the Galactic Compendium: at the beginning of chapter 3, while you are on your spaceship, go to Rocket's room and interact with the object that will be highlighted; by doing so, Rocket will enter the room and start a discussion with you. Once the chat is over, you will get the Galactic Compendium item.
Object of the Galactic Compendium: still on the spaceship, go to Star-Lord's room and interact with the bracelet near the mirror. Complete the dialogue to get the item.
Object of the Galactic Compendium: on the spaceship, go down the stairs until you reach the hangar and take the device placed immediately to the left of the stairs, on a yellow chest with a vase of flowers. By doing so you can interact with Groot; complete the dialogue that follows and you will get the collectible.
archive: After fighting the first group of enemies in Chapter 3, you will have to order Rocket to use a console that will drop a platform that will allow you to continue. Instead of following the path indicated by the game, move left, up a red ramp, then turn left again to find the Archive on shore, next to a new crashed ship.
Collectible of the Guardians: After fighting a new type of monster called (with the body of a tiger and the face of a squid), you will find yourself in an area where you will have to order Gamora to climb a wall so that she can lift you and help you collapse a pillar that Drax can lift. Now order Drax to place the pillar near the ledge opposite the ship's wing. Climb up and then jump down to the platform below to find the collectible on the ground.
archive: Starting from where you found the last collectible, go back to the area where the other Guardians are and tell Drax to place the pillar on the left side of the area, then order Gamora to cut the cables placed above on the spaceship. This will cause the ship's wing to collapse to the ground. Climb on it and you will find the Archive on the left side of the wing.
archive: After unlocking the "ice" element for the Star-Lord blasters, you will have to freeze two platforms and then order Gamora to destroy a wall. Immediately after, look to your left and you will find it on the ground.
Chapter 4
archive: After silently passing some sleeping guards, you will find the Archive inside Lady Hellbender's Throne Room. From where you entered, check out the right side.
Collectible of the Guardians: From where you found the last collectible, pass the sleeping guards and enter the next area. There you will find some cages. Enter the room on the left that Drax will be exploring; the collectible is located behind some red crates to the right of the entrance, on the floor.
archive: From where you found the last collectible, enter the room that Rocket is inspecting, where Groot is locked up. On the right side of this room, on some haystacks, is the Archive.
archive: After you have negotiated with Lady Hellbender, you will find yourself in front of a drone with a red laser. Destroy the structure on the left and jump on it, climb over the next obstacle and turn right to find the Archive on a chest.
archive: inside the Vault (which you will reach simply by advancing in the story) there is a large skull, behind which the Archive will be positioned.
Collectible of the Guardians: you will always find it in the Vault, to the right of the previous collectible.
Chapter 5
Object of the Galactic Compendium: on your spaceship, at the beginning of the chapter, check inside the Star-Lord's room, interact with the object there and complete the dialogue.
Object of the Galactic Compendium: on your spaceship, at the beginning of the chapter, check inside Gamora's room, interact with the object there and complete the dialogue.
archive: Shortly after the start of the chapter, you will enter a waiting room. Go through the door on the left to find the Archive on a desk.
Collectible of the Guardians: Open the large gate on the right by redirecting the current, cross the corridor and enter the second door, which leads to the Control Center (a room with 5 terminals). On the left side of this room is the collectible.
archive: From where you found the last collectible, leave the room and enter the next corridor. Once in a red-lit area, look at the railing on the right to find the archive on the floor.
archive: You will find the Archive next to some computers, in a blue room with centurion armor placed in its center.
Chapter 6
archive: A few minutes after the start of the chapter, there will be a cutscene in which Drax and Gamora will leave. As soon as the fact has happened, turn around and enter the bar; you will find the Archive on the table to the left of the entrance.
archive: Leave the bar using a different door than the one you used to enter and keep to the right. Go past the car and keep going straight until you see a robot NPC standing near some stairs. Go down the stairs to find the Archive in a tunnel on the right hand side.
Object of the Galactic Compendium: from where you got the last collectible, go up the stairs and turn right, following the path. After climbing another flight of stairs, on the left you can interact with a large white egg with the face of a robot. From the latter you can buy a ticket for 1000 units, which will be added to the objects of the Galactic Compendium.
Object of the Galactic Compendium: from where the lottery ticket seller is located, turn right and continue to the end of the path, where you will find a merchant who will sell you the collectible for 1500 units.
Collectible of the Guardians: At the merchant, turn around and look for the large holographic face of a man with the words "Collector's Emporium". Head there, turn the corner to the right and talk to the guy from the gift shop. Peter will tell him about Gamora's obsession with collecting dolls and the shopkeeper will show you a doll that you can buy for 2000 units.
Object of the Galactic Compendium: Still in the same area, talk to the ticket seller at the entrance to the Emporium. By paying 5000 units, you will get an item from the Compendium.
Object of the Galactic Compendium: leaving the Collector's Emporium, follow the path to the left to return to where you left the bar. Get over the car and go up the stairs. At the top of the stairs you will find a vending machine where you can get a stuffed animal for 750 units. You can get one of three Compendium items (also, you won't be able to use the vending machine multiple times, so you'll need to play the adventure multiple times to get all three).
archive: From the petrol station, go left onto a balcony where Drax is. On the right side of the balcony you will find an Archive, placed on the floor.
archive: Starting from where you got the last collectible, turn around and go straight, towards some stairs that will take you to a platform with a tree covered with and straight from the balcony there are some stairs that lead to a platform with a tree covered in pink jelly . Right on that platform, on the right side, you will find an Archive on the floor.
Chapter 7
archive: After unlocking the Electricity Element for Peter's blasters, head back through the great hall where you were previously flying in antigravity. At the end of the corridor, use your electric guns to shoot a circuit that opens a door (this is the only way to progress in the story). After going through the door, you will arrive in an area lit in red; check on the right side to find the Archive.
archive: Starting from where you got the last collectible, go up the stairs, crouch under the blue colored obstacles and immediately turn right, where you will find a locked door. Use Nikki's device to open this door (the item you must have obtained in the second chapter). After going through the door, destroy the gray sticky slime on the right and tuck in and crouch to overcome the obstacle, then continue to find the Archive placed on a grate.
Collectible of the Guardians: From where you got the last collectible, turn around and look up. Shoot the gray matter above you to drop some large crates which you can then use to get to the upper floor. Here you will find a chest in a dark corner, behind which is a Guardian collectible.
Object of the Galactic Compendium: You will get it automatically after watching a cutscene in Nikki's hideout in her private room.
archive: Also in Nikki's room, you will find the Archive on a red cushion.
archive: Immediately after leaving Nikki's hideout, you will find the Archive on a yellow chest to the right.
Collectible of the Guardians: inside Ko-Rel's office, when Rocket tries to hack a computer. The collectible is on the ground, to the left of the computer where Rocket is.
archive: still in the same area, enter the first room on the right to find the Archive on the floor next to a yellow bed.
archive: Shortly after fighting the first "Inquisitor", you will come to a command center with a large sphere placed in the middle. From the entrance, go to the back left side of the room to find the Archive on a desk.
archive: always in the same room, you will find the Archive on the right side of the structure.
Chapter 8
archive: After watching a movie where Rocket is trying to hack a computer, you will find yourself in a room with many monitors. From where you will be when the cutscene is over, turn around and head to the desk nearby. The Archive is right there.
Collectible of the Guardians: From where you got the last collectible, enter the next room. There you will find a workbench and to its right there will be some large gears that you can use to reach another area; here you will find the collectible.
archive: From where you got the last collectible, look for a dead Inquisitor. To the right of him you will find the Archive.
Chapter 9
Object of the Galactic Compendium: While on your spaceship, head to Drax's room and interact with the highlighted object. Complete the dialogue and you will get the collectible.
Object of the Galactic Compendium: while you are on your spaceship, go to Gamora's room and interact with the highlighted object. Complete the dialogue and you will get the collectible.

Chapter 10
Collectible of the Guardians: after you have faced one of the well-known tigers with the face of a squid, continue towards the only available path and look for a small opening on the left. Here crouched under some crystals, jump on the rocks placed nearby and you will find the collectible near some blue alien plants.
Collectible of the Guardians: A little later in the chapter, after fighting a second group of enemies, you should notice a statue on which you can use the Wind element of your gun. Use your element to move the statue, then shoot the goo behind it to find an inlet, which will take you to an area full of toxic gas. Use the Ice element on the gas leaks to get through the area safely. Eventually, on the right side, you will find the collectible.
archive: from where you got the last collectible, continue on the only available path, where you will find the other guardians. Before continuing, you will find an Archive on the floor.
Chapter 12
Object of the Galactic Compendium: While on your spaceship, head to Drax's room and interact with the highlighted object. Complete the dialogue and you will get the collectible.
Object of the Galactic Compendium: while you are on your spaceship, go to Gamora's room and interact with the highlighted object. Complete the dialogue and you will get the collectible.
archive: After facing the first group of enemies, follow the other guardians. On the left side of the road that you will have to follow you will find the Archive, before arriving at the large round lift.
archive: From where you got the last collectible, use the big round elevator, which will take you to a burning market. The Archive is located on the ground, on the right side of one of the stalls.
archive: After you have faced a new group of enemies, you can slip into a small cove. Do this, then use the elemental energy gun "Wind" to break down a wall, order Gamora to jump on the wall and let her lift you. Then go down to the other side and always use the "Wind" element of your weapons to open the gate for your allies. After you have done this, in front of the gate you have just unlocked, look to your left to find the Archive, placed on some wooden crates.
archive: from where you got the last collectible, interact with the barricade that will appear in front of you to push it to the side, then go straight until you reach some vending machines; the Archive is nearby, on the floor.
Collectible of the Guardians: From where you got the last archive, go down the ramp to the left of the vending machines, then climb up some yellow ledges to see some toxic gas leaks. Use the guns with the "Ice" element to freeze the leaks. You will find the collectible on the platform where the gas came out.
archive: After you have faced some opponents in a circular sandy area, continue towards the main path, but instead of going down the stairs, activate your special vision to see a platform with which Groot can interact. Stand on the platform and ask Groot to lift it, until you see the Archives on a chest next to some blue barrels.
archive: From where you got the last Archive, go back to where Groot raised the platform. Go past the workbench and go straight, jump down the broken stairs and then check the left corner to find the Archives, before entering the cove where Drax is waiting for you.
Chapter 13
Object of the Galactic Compendium: after crashing with your spaceship, go around it. Enter Rocket's room, interact with the mask placed on his desk and complete the various dialogues.
Collectible of the Guardians: advancing in the adventure, reach a cave. Exit the latter and go through the nearby frozen tunnel where there are also poisonous gases, then defeat some enemies. After the fight, Groot will automatically create a bridge for all Guardians. Cross it and you will notice a wall for Gamora on your right. Let her lift you up and you will find the collectible nearby on the ground.
Collectible of the Guardians: After you get to a location with poisonous spores, look to the right side of the area. At the edge of the area you will find the collectible.
archive: in the same area where you found the previous collectible, to the right from where you passed to enter the area, you will see a rock with three poisonous spores. On that rock there is a hunting signal with an Archive next to it.
archive: After defeating the Alpha Wendigo, have Groot help you to raise a platform. There you will find the archive, on the ground and in plain sight.
archiveAfter meeting the survivor at the burning camp, go up the hill to the left of the survivor to find the Archive.
Chapter 14
Object of the Galactic Compendium: on your spaceship you interact with the object highlighted in Drax's room.
Object of the Galactic Compendium: on your spaceship you interact with the object highlighted in Groot's room.
archive: As you progress through the chapter, you will come to a mine where a treasure room is hidden. Inside you will find a corpse, along with the Archive.
