Instagram, the social network of the moment together with the one that is growing fastest - TikTok - could change some of its key aspects to renew itself and adapt to the very rapid market laws that change quickly in this sector.
The key aspects would be identified in the stories with a visualization that could pass from horizontal to vertical, just like the main competitor made in china.
The information comes from TechCrunch and substantially reports that in the Facebook labs this possibility is already being tested. In the screenshot that we report, in fact, the image clearly indicates that you can "scroll up and down to browse the stories". Underneath there is also a button that appears to be the typical activation button, suggesting that the option could be activated or deactivated by the user according to their tastes.
For now it is a possibility under test, like many others. Incidentally, the development team of Instagram, responding to TechCrunch, confirmed that this possibility is being tested but that there is no certainty that it may or may not arrive in the final app. It could also have changed on the run and turned into something else. In any case, if the team behind Instagram decides to make this feature official, the stories could focus more on videos than on static content such as photos, just what is needed to fight the competition of TikTok already started and carried on by supporting Reels: Funny 15 second videos that can be edited with audio, effects and other creative tools.
