Instagram celebrates its XNUMXth birthday and it does it in style, with a platform update that brings with it many useful innovations and even some small gifts for users who use their app.
One of the novelties that are slowly reaching both Android and iOS users is the possibility of view their own stories the past three years in two new organized screens: the first is a calendar view, useful if you remember the period in which we published the story we are looking for, while the second is a map on which the stories grouped by geographical position will be visible.
Instagram is also strengthening its practices to control aggressive comments on its platform. First of all will allow you to automatically hide offensive comments which are similar to those previously reported under their own posts for later review. It is also expanding its feature which alerts users when they repeatedly try to post inappropriate comments. Instagram already owns a function based on artificial intelligence which warns people when their comment may be considered offensive, giving them a chance to reflect and make changes before posting a comment.
As a latest, that's more un easter egg to tell the truth, we find a collection of different icons for the mobile application. These icons can be used in place of the official Instagram one and include the historical graphics of the past years as well as a collection of specially created colored exclusive icons. To unlock them, all you have to do is go to the Settings of the app and drag the screen down until the appearance of a nice birthday celebration animation. After that you can indulge yourself and choose the icon you prefer.
The updates are already in rollout and will reach all iOS and Android users in the coming days.
