Indivisible Razmi's Challenges | Review

Indivisible had convinced us in the review phase with its multifaceted gameplay that amalgamates platform and action-rpg. Despite some flaws, the general design of the scenarios was presented as a careful playground where to combine the many skills obtained during the adventure. The fight itself became a puzzle to be solved by putting together the right party and using specific skills to break down a defense or defeat groups of enemies with greater ease. Razmi's Challenges - Razmi's Challenges - is the cousin dlc on payment that builds on these two components a set of 40 challenges that test their ability to navigate the levels and reveal the weak points of the enemies.

Those who have already played Indivisible have learned to know its many characters, each characterized by a style and personal motivations to join the group. Among these, the shaman Razmi is the most ambiguous and shady incarnation who in this dlc carries on a curtain with Ajna. Over the course of the forty challenges accessible from the inner realm, we are never sure that they are not just a pretext to kill Ajna, as do doubts about a possible reward - you will be able to show off a skin that certifies your results. The additional content speaks directly to those players who have enjoyed both the platforming and fighting phases and that they want to complete all the secrets and challenges offered by the game. Last April Indivisible received a free update that added a co-op mode and the "new game plus", allowing those who found the main campaign too simple to compete especially in clashes with tougher enemies and refine the timing of parade. Razmi's Challenges poses a more reasoned challenge in levels of very limited size but in which you have to be clean and precise in performing what is required.

    Indivisible Razmi's Challenges | Review

Essentially the challenges are divided into difficulty levels and even if they are numbered you can choose to face them in any order. Who hasn't finished the main story yet will unlock new levels as soon as he gets the necessary skills to complete the tasks that Razmi will ask us to do. The simpler platforming levels will test our skills, for example, with the Harpoon Ax or the Pirate's Leap, confronting us with levels that develop mostly vertically and that add nothing different from what we are used to. . Other more elaborate challenges involve the use of skills such as Heruka's Push or Kampan's Spin and the design becomes more complex. Understanding which skill is essential to overcome a specific step is the first step, followed by an almost perfect execution because it takes a fraction of a second sometimes to lose the right momentum. Very demanding are in fact the challenges that require you to act when you are in midair, perhaps with the bow to create a support point to harpoon with the ax, or give yourself the push to cross obstacles without touching them. If you have found it frustrating to move around the Indivisible scenarios, it will not be Razmi's Challenges that will make you change your mind, indeed it could lead you to throw the gamepad against the wall due to collision detection to the detriment of the player in some levels.

Combat challenges, on the other hand, require you to use a predefined set of four characters, but no information is given on who and what is the way to achieve victory. While for the crossing challenges we can already get an idea of the skills involved and what to expect, combat is the aspect where we have to think more to understand how to defeat the opponent. Also in this case we go from very simple challenges with low-grade enemies, to others with more engaging mechanics where you can prioritize targets, break defenses, maximize combos to clear the field quickly and parry perfectly to avoid the instant KO. If you want to get the most out of each challenge, an internal rating system is included that will assign you a bronze, silver, gold and platinum rank depending on the time taken, usually a few seconds is the goal to achieve.

Choosing whether or not to purchase additional content like Razmi's Challenges depends a lot on your expectations and preferences. If you are looking for a dlc on the history of the game and its characters, you will not find what you are looking for in Razmi's Challenges, on the contrary, if you have found the base game, Razmi's Challenges, too easy it might keep you busy for a few hours with a level of difficulty certainly higher than the one you have already faced, but also having to deal with a frequent trial and error and some problems with the hitboxes of the obstacles.
