Guides Complete introduction to Persona 5 Strikers' Sae Niijima

Among the various characters who return to Persona 5 Strikers from the original Persona 5 is also present Sae Niijima, Makoto's older sister and attorney for the Tokyo Special Investigation Department.

Although in Strikers it is not in the least present as in the predecessor (or in Royal), it will still have a fairly important part in the events narrated, so it will be worth explaining the narrative background for those of you who have forgotten it. Persona 5 features and history

Sae is a tall woman with back-length ashy colored hair and brown eyes. She is always dressed in an elegant uniform, a symbol of the seriousness she shows at work.

Both she and Makoto were raised by their policeman father from an early age, which is why, following his death in service, he will take the trouble to tutor her.

This fact and the backbreaking work will have a very serious impact on her character, making her particularly cold and causing family relationships to degrade quickly.

All this will change during the events of Persona 5 (and Royal), during which she will be entrusted with the case of the Phantom Thieves. Not only will she be the one who questions Joker from the very first bars of the story, but he will undergo a change of heart during the events narrated and will give a considerable hand to the group of young people counterattack to Akechi and Shido's offensive.

Role in Persona 5 Strikers

As previously mentioned, in Strikers Sae will not have the same prominent role as it did in the predecessor, but it will still be important during the Kyoto-centric part of the storyline.

She will in fact put pressure on the police to save Zenkichi from arrest, allowing him to enter Akane Prison with Futaba, save the Phantom Thieves from the trap they had fallen into and awaken his Persona in the process.

Without Sae's intervention, the Phantom Thieves would probably have died, so while he's only an extra in effect, he once again gave the group some help.
