You can hunt him down together with your team and once captured you can take him into battle against the Elite Four.

Moltres is a fire-type creature and a one-of-a-kind legendary bird. This is because in Pokémon Let's Go, unlike Articuno and Zapdos, it is not necessary to use a secret technique to capture it. Moltres can be found in Victory Road, the way you will have to travel to reach the Elite Four at the end of the game.

Where to find the legendary bird Moltres in Pokémon Let's Go

To find Moltres, all you have to do is follow the way through Victory Road until you find a policewoman. Once you find it, go down stairs that lead downwards, which are located right to the right of the policewoman (therefore to your left as shown in the image below). You will arrive in a new area e follow it to the right until you see Moltres sitting on a small plateau.

Again, just like the other legendary birds and Mewtwo, to catch Moltres in Pokémon Let's Go you will need to first defeat him in battle. The fight is not particularly difficult and once he is downed you can catch him normally.
